It is already the fourth month of this journey and we are in Malaysia. We are now on a pretty sweet bus with recliner lazy boys and foot stools…….Lazy Boys and Foot Stools might be a stretch but the chairs definitely recline and there is definitely a place to prop your feet. I would say this is  the best bus we have been on. As Holly sits next to me and quietly tries to pronounce one of the languages they speak here, I think to myself, new languages and new surroundings every month. Thank you God that you have given me this opportunity.  Thank you supporters, friends, family, who had faith in what God was calling me to do and having faith in me.

It is such a peaceful day on the bus as it rains outside and the somber atmosphere inside. I have grown to love travel days with the quiet, easy atmosphere which comes along with thoughts and more thoughts.

We flew into Kuala Lumpur and spent the night in a YMCA hotel and woke up this morning and met our ministry contact. We had orientation for the culture here and quickly found out there are several guidelines here for us to follow while staying at homes, ministering, interacting, etc.

We found out last night that our ministry is going to be working with the homeless. Some moments we may be in a soup kitchen type atmosphere and others may consist of street evangelism. There is also a couple of days that have been planned for us to clean a church. I am not quite sure what this ministry will look like but I feel like God is going to teach us a lot.

We are headed 4 to 5 hours from Kuala Lumpur in Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia now and staying at a hotel for the first two weeks and then I have been told we are moving to a YWAM base.

I ask you, my friends and family, to pray that God stretches our minds of who we believe He is. I ask that you will keep us in your prayers praying for big prayers for our ministry, the people, interaction, us as individuals and as team radiance. I ask that you will ask God to break us more and more and teach us to long for Him as we long for food, shelter, family, etc. Pray that God’s voice is woven into who we are and louder than ever before.

Love you, Lynds
