This is my World Race
If you’re visiting this site for the first time, the second time, or the 50th time, I just want to say thank you! You also may have some questions regarding what the World Race is and what I will be doing for 11 months, and why. This is also the main source of where I will be sharing what God is showing me in this preparation for the WR, and my journey on the race from August 2016 to June 2017. What is the World Race?
The World Race is an 11 month mission trip to 11 different countries around the world. Every day on the race may look different as we partner with local churches and organizations serving to meet the needs in the community. This looks like planting churches, manual labor, witnessing to sex trafficking victims, teaching in schools, serving in orphanages, village ministry, home visits, witnessing in red light districts, food programs, etc. I believe that the Lord will use my team to witness to people through every area – from travel to stay.
My countries include Lesotho, Swaziland, South Africa, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Haiti, and Dominican Republic.
Why?
I confidently feel that the Lord has called me to live a life free from comfort and worldly standards. I always knew that my life was meant for travel with being born overseas, but when I gave my life to Christ I realized that my true calling is to travel and make Him known. In September of 2014 the Lord called me to World Race before I even knew what it was. I dedicated time to prayer and several months later I was able to apply and became accepted. My possessions for this 11 months will include a backpack, a tent, a sleeping bag, and few necessities. The sole purpose is that my team and I would leave our lives of comfort and routine to be the hands and feet of Jesus, taking Truth to the ends of the earth.
How you can support me.
I mainly ask that you consider supporting me through prayer. This short time of preparing for the race and the full 11 months I will be travelling are very crucial journeys. I have been on international mission trips and strive to live a life on mission wherever I am, but this is quite different than anything I’ve done before and I am stoked to see how God uses us in foreign lands with so little. Another way you can support me, if you feel led, is through financial support. I am required to raise about $17,000 as you can see above. This site updates all of my supporters on what goals I have reached. This amount covers all of my travel expenses for the 11 months.
