World Race FAQ’s & How to Support Me
What is the World Race?
World Race is a short term mission which travels to 11 countries in 11 months. This exciting opportunity gives missionaries the chance to put faith and love into action. World Racers utilize adventure, ministry, community, and self-discovery in order to love the broken, lost, and least of these.
What will you do on World Race?
On World Race, our team will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities. Our work will include preaching the Gospel, working in orphanages, church planting opportunities, ministering to women and children who are trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bringing the restoration and hope of God's love to many tribes and nations.
Where will you be going?
Our team will travel to Cambodia, India, Ireland, Malaysia, Mozambique, Nepal, Romania, South Africa, Swaziland, Ukraine, and Vietnam.
What organization is this mission trip with?
Adventures in Missions! This organization offers short-term and long-term missions for youth, teens, college, adult, and families. Get more information at http://www.adventures.org/
How much does the trip cost?
Get ready for it…..$15,500. This cost covers living expenses on the field and travel to each country. Sounds like a lot, and yup it is! But if you think about it, this amount covers living costs for an entire year. In addition to this number there will be other expenses such as medical costs (shots [eeeek!], malaria medication) and travel costs (flight to and from training camp, my initial departure flight and my final return flight home to Texas).

When will you need the donations?
Here’s the breakdown, there is a deadline coming up in just a few months!
- $3,500 – Due 2 weeks before Training Camp (Date to be determined, Oct or Nov of 2013)
- $6,500 – Due 12/18/2013 (2 weeks prior to your trip)
- $11,000 – Due 4/1/2014 (End of 3 months on the field)
- $15,500 – Total Due 7/1/2014 (End of 6 months on the field)
Can I pray for you?
ABSOLUTELY!! I would love prayers for safety and spiritual strength during this journey. But please continually pray for the hearts and people in all of the countries we will be traveling to:
Cambodia, India, Ireland, Malaysia, Mozambique, Nepal, Romania,
South Africa, Swaziland, Ukraine, and Vietnam.

How have you prepared for this journey?
I recently completed an intense 15-week course called Perspectives. A number of missionary-sending agencies require this course. This class entails the biblical, historical, cultural, and strategic aspects of the world Christian movement. This course greatly opened my eyes as I heard missionaries share their testimonies and stories of what it is to live for His purpose. To find more information check out http://www.perspectives.org
