When the World Race staff said that training camp would be unlike anything we had ever experienced I didn’t believe them, BUT they were ABSOLUTELY right! God showed up in a way that I have never felt before. I was COMPLETELY overwhelmed, taken by surprise, and asked to do things that were really difficult for me. However, God took over and I have NEVER felt more free! PTL! Freedom was such a huge element that played into this week, and to have this freedom that they had been talking about EVERY session sparks a passion and an excitement in my heart so big that I cannot imagine it growing any bigger…BUT I know that it will. I do not bear the burden of FEAR, GUILT, or SHAME any longer! The pressure of having to abide by any one denomination’s guidelines is not a weight upon my heart, but I feel ready to allow God to use me and work in my life in ways that I have never seen or never allowed Him to before…God is Gooooood!
Another HUGE blessing and answered prayer is my team (pictured above), TEAM “IMAGO DEI”, which means “Image of God” in Latin. I specifically prayed that God would bring into my team a person who speaks Spanish, because we are not traveling to any Latin American countries and I feel such a strong pull towards the Hispanic culture, but know that God has called me to the World Race! I also prayed that God would not bring any SUPER macho guys of SUPER prissy girls into my group, and He even honored those seemingly silly requests when hand-picking our team. I am so-o unbelievably excited about doing ministry and living life with these 5 other people for the next year! They are such a blessing. Praise God! He is going to rock our worlds and bring out some great, amazing, God-given talents in this next year and allow them to be used to the fullest extent as we follow Him to these 11 countries!
