In review, I cannot wrap my mind around month 1 being over. The fact that I’m a month 2 racer is insane. Month 1 had a lot of ups and downs, but mostly ups. We were welcomed with love into an amazing ministry and participated in many very cool facets of that ministry. As a takeaway, I would like to make a list of 10 things I learned in India, so here we go!

  1. Peeling potatoes is a spiritual gift of mine
  2. Walks in the rain are the best when you walk with great friends
  3. You’re never too old for a fall to be funny (3 times, yes really) (as long as you don’t get hurt)
  4. The sunrise from the roof is always worth walking up for
  5. The iPod challenge is the best (for those of you who don’t know, the iPod challenge is where you put in a song you love, turn your headphones all the way up, put a blindfold on, and sing your heart out while everyone else watches and laughs)
  6. I may or may not have the spiritual gift of prayer
  7. Bucket showers are not as hard as they first appear
  8. I LOVE chai but fully understand that it will never be the same
  9. Lentils are great for breakfast
  10. And finally, not all of India is Bollywood, and it’s beautiful. Jesus is there, along with hope and life, and His followers are getting stronger.

Thanks for being patient for my blogs from last month. It truly was a great month and such an amazing start to a great year.

Thanks for stopping by!

Much love- Lyndie
