I think over the short number of years I have lived and have gotten to spend on this earth, I have learned to see the world differently. You see, the world is actually made up of many little worlds. The worlds of each person’s mind–each person’s collection of thoughts, dreams, feelings and memories all piled into what makes up their little portion of the human world. Their own little reality.

And I think I have also learned that we only have a brief portion of time to shape and create these worlds, and our worlds never come out quite as we had planned them too.

And for some reason out of all the innumerable number of seconds that are in time–from when time started, to the present time, to whenever it will end–for some reason I was put here at this exact point in time. I was put here in 2017 ready to embark on the craziest adventure of my lifetime, a step of faith that a couple months ago I never would have imagined I would be taking.  And out of all the billions of people that have lived throughout time, out of the 7 billion people alive today, the 7 billion little worlds out there, for some reason I was chosen to go on this adventure with the 40 little worlds and counting that I get to call my squad. Together, by God’s grace, in a few short months we get to go bless hundreds of other people’s little worlds around the globe, and I am so grateful for that fact.

The thing is, I don’t know what everyone’s reality looks like. I can’t see through the eyes of all the young adults on my squad that bless me every day with messages of encouragement. I can’t understand the worlds of my parents as they worry for me and deal with my wild ideas. I can’t even fathom the worlds of those that have blessed me in so many different ways, and those who take time out of their realities to drop to their knees and pray for me. I can’t begin to imagine what your worlds look like, but I want to thank you for letting me be a part of them. Thank you for allowing me to leave my mark on your memories. And most of all I want to thank you all for being part of my world because I know without a doubt that my world has been blessed by all of you. Blessed by the prayers you send up for me every day, blessed by the smiles and encouragement you all share, and blessed by the never ending faith in a God who can do miraculous things beyond what any of us can comprehend.

God is working in amazing ways. He is shaping our worlds, molding us all into His image, one step at a time, one minute at a time on this incredible journey we call life. He is lighting us all on fire, allowing all our worlds, all our little lights to shine for Him–to radiate His glory–so that perhaps one day this whole world of people may burn brighter than the sun for Him, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. My Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
