Hi! I'm Lydia!
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! 🙂
Here are a few things you might want to know about me…
1. I'm 24 years old.
2. I live in Elizabethtown, Kentucky (born and raised).
3. I was a teacher at Rineyville Elementary for 2 amazing years.
4. I'm leaving in July with the H Squad to go and love on the world for 11 crazy months.
5. I am a part of Team Tikkun Olam: an ALL LADIES team! Tikkun Olam is Hebrew for "restoring, healing, and transforming the world with God", which is exactly what we hope to do and be together in the next year of our lives.
6. I chose to say "yes" to the World Race because I want to know what it is like to be truly desperate for God, to give hope to the hopeless, and to love on the loveless.
7. Kids have my heart. All of it. Plain and simple, but deeper than I could ever put into words.
8. I have only begun to embrace the story that God is writing for my life, and I can't wait to see how it ends. I've never loved Him more, and I hope to grow in my love for Him and trust in Him every day for the rest of my life.
9. I love: coffee, hugs, naps in the sunshine, hugs, worship music, hugs, smiling, hugs, theatre and drama, hugs, random dance parties, hugs, love, hugs, Chinese food, hugs, my puppy (Milo), hugs, reading, hugs, heart-to-heart conversations… Oh, and hugs. 🙂
And finally… 10. My favorite Bible verse is 1 Corinthians 16:14- "Let all that you do be done in love". And this verse is what I strive to live by each day. I believe with all my heart that I have been freely given so much from God, and my heart desires to give it all away to His people. My life as I know it is to be a vessel for Him. I live to bring peace, joy, and lots of hugs and laughter to His people all over the world.
