My name is Lydia Seymour. I’ve lived in Brooklyn, New York for 4.5 years. Im a PK and moved around a lot, but mostly consider myself from Alabama and Ohio. In Brooklyn I’m a full time freelance nanny, I’m kind of obssesed with kids. 🙂 Currently I work for roughly 4 different families, I love kids of all ages..but baby boys are my favorite!!
I’m extremely close to my family. My parents play a huge role in my life and I very much consider them my BFF’s! I have 3 siblings. I’m the 2nd oldest. I would go to the ends of the earth for all 3 of them. My sister Hannah is my bestest friend, biggest fan, and an amazing accountability partner for me. 🙂
I’m a major foodie, I eat out way too often..thats probably my favorite thing about NYC, besides the fact that you hear so many different languages each day. I’ve currently turned into a little bit of a gym junkie, they said “world race” and I’m suddenly ready to run a 10K! Haha totally kidding!! I’m also a huge fan of music of all kinds!! I go to the best church in NYC the Brooklyn Tabernacle. It’s had such an impact on my life not only in these 4.5 years I’ve been here, but also as a child, as I grew up listening to the choir CD’s! At BT we have an amazing young adults ministry called MVMNT (stands for movement) and I’ve been able to get involved there and can gladly boast that I DJ for MVMNT’s Friday night services!
I’ve had a huge passion for missions since like the 5th grade, and I am just beyond excited for this trip and to get to know my squad! I can’t wait to see what God is going to do through each of us. 🙂
