Things you see in Puerto Rico
* Eat Guayaba y Queso pasteries (Guava and cheese)
* See multiple cars/drivers backing up on a freeway exit (guess it is an ok thing to do!)
* See a gathering of older men playing checkers, chess or Mexican train outside in city centers.
* Witness Pelicans responding but name and obeying commands like a dog at a local beach.
* Local friends waiting over 2 hours in our driveway in order to hang out with us.
* Witness a man arguing outside his car with a motorcycle Policia who was blocking off a road. Then 2 more motorcycle policia come as back-up
* MoFongo (Local delicacy of fried plantains made into a cake with seasoned meat on the side and a sauce— amazing!)
* Have so many people notice the color of your eyes because they are used to seeing mostly brown eyes.
* See speakers embedded into a cooler on the beach
* Come to serve but be served instead.
* Have God use your presence among the locals to change lives when you don’t really do anything.
….off to our Dominican Republic ministry today. Not exactly sure what we will be doing but most likely evangelism, kids ministry and/or manual labor work. It is all squad month so we will be in our tents and working with the entire squad of 45!
