Hello all! I have been in Ecuador for the past month and it has been incredible! We have been living at the IncaLink base here in Quito with 3 other teams but we all have our own ministry. IncaLink by the way, is amazing! They are in Ecuador, Peru (close to where I was living last month!) and Columbia. They have many ministries, but some here are prison ministries, a soccer team/ministry, a house for pregnant teens and supply housing for teams. My team hasn't worked with any of those ministries this month, but I love the vision and ministry of IncaLink.
My team has been serving a church called Vision Mundial por la Familia (World Vision for the Family). They recently lost many of their church members and have needed encouragement and support. It has been such a blessing to be able to serve in that way this month. We have gained new family members. The areas we have served in include visiting a retirement home, teaching at a leadership class, sharing on a Christian radio station, preaching on Sundays, passing out tracts, sharing and leading house churches(community groups) and ultimately building relationships with locals and our church family. We have been stretched in ways but overall God has revealed Himself to us in more ways this month and we have definitely grown and bonded more as a team. We have seen the Lord heal and work in hearts this month and it has been beautiful!
I have been continually overwhellmed and blown away by the investment and love these people display! Once again we have been welcomed in and loved. What an amazing picture of the Lord! I want to be more like this; to love without hesitation and without borders.
