1) Expectations: We all have them, whatever we are doing whether it’s The World Race or your daily job. As much as we tell ourselves that we left our expectations at home, more than likely we still have a few that are good hiders.

BE A GOOD SEEKER (…and REMOVER of those expectations)

Expectations remove our trust on God and place trust, hope, security, etc on what our idea of something is.

“Clinging to our own comfort stops us from having things God’s way.”- Bill Swan

PERSONAL NOTE: An expectation I didn’t realize I had, was to sleep well during training camp and on the Race. The first two nights shattered that expectation and ever since camp I’ve never slept so well and dreamed so much. Crazy, right!?

2) I can live on WAY LESS food than I thought! (Side Note: Try eating your meals “family style” which may or may not include utensils or individual plates. The most fun is eating marinated chicken with rice using one hand and no utensils or personal plate.)

3) When you are passive, things happen to you.

4) When you are aggressive, you make things happen.

5) The World Race is what I make it. How about saying that about life? Life is what you make it.
