Right now I am sitting in the airport in Managua, Nicaragua. In about 7 hours we are going to get on a plane to Miami where I will be getting a large Dunkin Donuts hazelnut ice coffee, milk and regular sugar please. We will then fly to LAX and then on to Beijing for a 15 hour layover and then on to Bangkok, Thailand. I believe we will be staying there for a day or two for some cultural briefings and then after a 20 hour bus ride we will finally arrive at our ministry in Chiang Mai. With team changes and flying to the other side of the world, we all pretty much feel like our lives are getting turned upside down. Which is awesome, and scary. I'll keep you in suspense of the details of our ministry and new teams for now while I give you some of the highlights of the last three months in Central America.

There's seriously not much more that I hate than the smell of burning Central American trash.

You could be ugly as crap, but if you are white you will get whistled, yelled and kissed at.

Hispanic culture is kind of tacky.

The people are super friendly, hospitable and beautifully hearted. And they love to be dramatic.

EL SALVADOR

Don't go up a volcano when you have a stomach bug because you will spend the whole time wishing you were back in your bed and there won't be any lava or smoke anyway.

Natural springs with little fish that nibble at your body.

In four weeks in one house we broke a window, broke the toilet back cover and lost the keys.

Carter got peed on by a dog.

Sarah.

Rocky, our adopted dog.

My little neighbor friend.

Our volcano.

NICARAGUA

Nicaragua in March and April is as hot as hell.

One night we crashed a wedding. We were trying to go to a Catholic mass and when we got to the church, there was a wedding party standing outside, which our host Whitney decided to follow in the church, take pictures of and sit through most of their wedding.

One night there was a huge fire behind the property in the sugar cane field. Carter and one of our ministry contacts, Joey, went illegally hunting with the locals for all the animals that were getting scared out but stopped when they found out there were pumas.

This girl, Whitney.

Rosa.

This.

This.

And this.

Smoothies from the mangoes in our backyard.

Yoga with Linda.

Jovanny's dancing.

Carter got pooped on by a parrot.

Unlimited watermelon in the fridge.

HONDURAS

My ipod touch was stolen. (Does anyone want to donate a new one???)

Falling in love with Honduran street boys, slums and mountains.

Carter's tent got peed on by a cat.

I made a video.
