Dear Future Me,
I am writing to you from Sabanilla, Costa Rica in Casa De Transforma after 26 whole days on being on the race. I am about to move to my next country and it is going by so fast. I hope that you are fully rested after finishing the race and have made it back safety to the states with all your family and friends that you have been missing like crazy for the last year. I hope that adjusting back to life in America isn’t tooo hard for you and that you are eating a huge burger with mozzarella sticks and a huge helping of Dr. Pepper. I hope that there is so much love, joy, and happiness as you are living out the new lifestyle you have created for yourself. I pray that you do not fall back into your old ways of life that are so easy and comfortable to set back into. I hope you are living out the new routines you have set for yourself. I hope you are just enjoying the beautiful life that God has given you to live and love.
As you are surrounded by beautiful rolling mountains and gorgeous weather, and luxury house with a comfortable bed, and wifi I can’t help to think about how much life is going to change within the next year. Not only in scenery and comforts but with God and learning more about Him and His people, and also in understanding who I truly am in His eyes.
By the time you read this I hope a lot has changed in your heart. I hope that you are able to be still and live in the present moment of what is going on.I hope that you love yourself and become confident that your identity comes through God and who he has made you to be. I hope you have stopped comparing yourself to other people and are comfortable in your own skin. I hope that you are bold in truth, understanding, and in the words that you speak. I hope you believe that when God says you are forgiven you believe His every word and do not doubt that you have been made clean without shame and guilt. I hope that you are devoted to spending time with God in the Word and listening to Him speak to you. I hope that you are not ashamed of who you are as a Christian and go back and speak to your friends and family at home. I hope that you continue to be a light and joy to everyone around you. I hope that you wear your heart on your sleeve. I hope that you die to yourself every day to bring God glory. I hope that you stopped giving into your flesh and seek God ways in everything. I hope that you genuinely love yourself the way that God does. I hope you don’t question yourself and you are confident in the person God calls you out to be.
I hope that you remember that mistakes can be easily forgotten around the people that love you. I hope you remember that you don’t have to look like you have it all together. I hope you know that God already has it figured out and you hold on to this truth. I hope that you will look back on where all God has taken you and are amazed. I hope that you know that this is not the end that this is the beginning of a new season.
Like I have said it before I don’t want things to go back to how they were before. I want you to be a better person for your father and a servant to Him on a daily basis. I want you to do things because they honor Him not just because it is of your flesh. I hope that you grow okay with this period of singleness. I hope that you stop falling to the temptation of lust and submit to a loving relationship with God knowing and having faith that He has someone waiting to purse you. I hope you do not fall to being like everyone else but stand strong to who you are a woman of God. I really hope that you have grown. I really hope that you have seen yourself broken and understand this is where growth is.
