When God created teachers
He have us special friends
To help us understand the world
And truly comprehend
The beauty and the wonder
Of everything we see
And become a better person
With each discovery
When God created teachers
He gave us special guides
To show us way in which to grow
So we can all decide
How to live and how to do
What’s right instead of wrong
To lead us so that we can lead
and learn how to be strong.
Why God created teachers
In His wisdom and his grace
Was to help us learn to make our world
A better, wiser place.
This is our daily schedule:
This is our claassroom setup:

Letters and sounds: Our kiddos loved to do their ABC’s. That’s to Mrs. Flores she had a video that they loved that they would sing to if they got board of their regular songs. AB was great at drawing pictures on the board of the things that we were drawing and the ids would learn how to spell it. For this subject they had work books that they used.
Math: this was my area of teachijng. Surprise fun fact, I am awful at math period. However our kids were the bomb with their numbers and adding. They also had a work book for this subject that helped sooo much. The kiddos loved to do indivual problems on the board and come up and work them out by themselves. Huge time killer.
Chapel: This was with all the children and all our team taught this subject. The main topic that stands out from Chapel was when Sarah prepared the message. She spoke on Peter and the disciples out on the water and their was a storm that arose. They saw Jesus walk out to them on the water and all the disciples were scared because they believed that He was a ghost. The story continues and Peter ends up having faith that he can walk on water untill he doubts and starts to sink. We were able to make a really cool skit out of this and we had the students act this out to. Huge crowd pleaser!
Social Studies: This was the hardest….. I taught this and I love social studies and struggled. So week on I remember that I had to share with the students the difference between old time schools and present day schools. Clearly I learnedno one rode to school on a horse. End of lesson. Then the next week was manners. We acted out proper manners, while still getting in trouble somehow, and then went over the rules. End of lessen. Then it came to family members. I got this one in the bag because we drew pictures of our family and of our house and that was the end of that lesson. Overall I became a pro at teaching social studies.
Bible: You would think this would be an easy subject. But apperently I do not know the gospel in multiple languages enough. So I wont tell you about the “We can all be missionaries lesson” because that went over great. Hahaha However we did the Christmas story and shared with them the birth of Jesus.
Recess: was my favorite. All the kids would wash their hands before recess because we would ALL (Including us teachers) have a small sweet snack to continue on our day with. Myfavorite snacks had to be the jello, the blackberry yougurt, or the coffee and cookies. Then the kids would go out for pure fun. We got in trouble as teacher on about the fifth or so day because we were letting the little ones slide down the railing since day one and didn’t know they were not allowed to do it. In our defense they were having so much fun! Lol However Hector, lovely Hector. Everyday He would push my buttons because He would run into the of limits area and would only run futher away when you tried to go and get him. I remember one day climbing over a wall onto a ledge in a long skirt to get this kid. Oh how I love him.
Science: was aways fun. We were in lessons about animals. From day one I was excited about this subject. Lesson one was about the texture of animals, Lesson two about the different sizes of animals, and then comes my favorite lesson sounds that animals make. We have a whole class that are going to be futer wolf pack members because of how impressive their wolf howl is for sure.
Phonics/Reading: always flashcards or writing in their journals. Oddly this was one of their favorite things to do. We would write simple words in their notebooks that they were learning and they would practice writing the word multiple times. We did however use this for punishment from time to time. However they always liked doing their journal work as homework so sometimes it was a hassle to get them to finish on time
Art: always a blast. My favorite, proud teacher moment is below. We were hesitant, scared, worried, and down right didn’t want to do this project but we proviled and it turned out in our favor. We didn’t think it was going to do good. Period. Color for plates, Check. Glue all for places on one piece of paper without them ripping hem off or throwing them wildly in the air until they were ruined, acounted for. Art also consisted of painting, coloring many many pages. (For futher reference AB is an amazing tracerof coloring page pictures and loves to do it, even if I don’t.)

Music: Everyday…. For the christmas performance.
Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells
Jingle all the way
Oh what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
Hey!

Fine motor:Was a whole mix of things. We would do coloring, we would do writing, we would do reading, we would finish subjects that we had not yet finished or we would dance. Dancing and singing was their favorite. There was a tablet that was provided for our classroom that had songs that the kids knew to sing and had their own dance moves to. Seriously it was adorable.
Lunch: Another fun time of the day, but also a headache. Again with the washing of our hands, Getting out all the kiddos’s lunches, and specifically making sure that the kids ate enough before they were allowed to go out an play. Sometimes to the point of giving them personal bites to eat. Yay for the life of a awesome teacher.
Playing Time: Was sadly never enoughed by me. This was when the teachers would go and eat our lunch that was prepared for us. The kiddos during this time would get together to practice their performance of Jingle bells, and Feliz Navidad. It was allways fun to get done with lunch early and sneak (Not really sneak but still) into practice and get to watch them prepare. This was when I really connected with Hector the most. Hector’s mother would not allow him to perform so he had to sit out of all the practices so we would sit on the sidelines, him in my lap (suprisingly) and we would do our own dance moves (sometimes the actual dance moves because they were cool enough) and have fun by ourselves.
Classroom dynamics:
We had the trouble maker, we had the class clown, we had the diva, we had the drama queen, we had the teacher’s pet, we had the wallflower, we had the protector all within our class. It was so cute to see all these titles emerge within each of the children. It was interesting to see how each of these roles would influence the other positively and negatively. It made for fun and challenging times throughout the time we were teaching.
In the end I would do it al again just to beable to love on these children more and more. They were a blessing to me and they have taught me so much through the small time that I have been able to spend with them.
1 Corinthians 12:27
Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of guidence and of different kinds of tongues.
