The time has finally come! The day God has ordained: Graduation!
Today, I walk across the stage in acknowledgement of accomplishing one of my personal goals: completing my Bachelors (with Honors). Woohoo! This marks, for me, the end of one chapter with the beginning of God’s amazing plan for my life! As I look back at all the years it took for me to get here today, I just have to keep thanking God for continually being there with me through every step of the way. Never did He allow certain circumstances to change the strength and perseverance I had within me to keep me from going after this goal. I clearly have so much to thank Him for! It definitely has not been easy getting through this stepping stone, but truly worth the feeling of being done and knowing the future God has paved for me!
To My Family and Friends:
Thank you for all your prayers, encouragement, patience and support through these past 2 years! Thank you for helping me get through some of the most stressful times of my life. Thank you for understanding and dealing with my absence in times when I wish I could be part of some special moments. Thank you for pushing and encouraging me through those moments when I truly wanted to give up (not gonna lie, there were a few!)! Thank you for ALL your prayers! Thank you for continually believing in me. Thank you, also for being part of this chapter in my life! I love you all! Last, but not least, thank you mommy for being the reason why I committed to reaching this goal, regardless of the hardships I knew I would face! I thank God every day for such a beautiful and amazing woman to call my mother and for all the love you’ve poured into my life. God has been so good to me to allow such beautiful family and friends to be part of my life and the future He has planned for me!
To My Fellow WR squad mates:
Congratulations to those also graduating! I know some of you may be at the very last stretch and enduring some hard times at the moment. I pray that God continues to provide you with wisdom, strength and much perseverance to get through this time and finish strong! With His strength, it will be done. As we prepare to close this chapter in our lives, there’s no way we cannot go without recognizing our excitement for our next amazing chapter: The World Race! This is only the end to an amazing, new beginning!
I simply cannot express the excitement and gratefulness I have for God to give us such a great life story! Not only that, but to have each of us be part of this journey together. I pray that God uses these next few months of preparation to equip our hearts and minds to that of His. May He also continue to mold us into who He’s called us to be!
Thank you all for your prayers and encouragement throughout this journey. Thank you for your accountability! Thank you for being patient with me, while I’ve struggled balancing time to getting to know you all. Above all, thank you kindly for welcoming me as your sister in Christ to walk along and love on “the least of these” of this world and making an impact on those who have never heard of the Good News. I cannot wait to serve and do life with all of you! May The Lord bless the remaining time you have left with friends and family!
