Hi Everyone,
Welcome and thank you for taking time to read my blog(s) and getting to know a little more about me and my journey!
My name is Lupita Hernandez and I’m currently working as a Staffing Coordinator at a staffing agency. I’m also a full-time student at Grand Canyon University, pursuing my bachelors in Applied Management. With only 2 classes and one exam to go, I’m ecstatic to be at the end and reach that finish line! 🙂
Born and raised in Arizona, I grew up a little close minded, only knowing what was around me. As I matured, I realized how much more there is to see and experience. So, as soon as I had the first opportunity to travel out of Arizona, I took it! I went to Florida on a 7-month internship with Disney World. That was by far, one of the best experiences I’ve been a part of! Fast forward to some years later, I was pulled back home to work on completing my education and in the middle of that, little did I know that God had way BIGGER things planned for me!
In the last few years, there have been many challenges I’ve had to overcome. Some that still require some healing to deal with. Throughout all that, though, God never left my side. It’s then that He began working on my heart. He took me on several adventures that opened my eyes and my heart to new feelings and new desires. He took me on several mission trips to Mexico to help the impoverished people of Puerto Peñasco. I never knew of such needs as those that I saw. It broke my heart. I grew to love the people and I didn’t want to leave. So, I went back 4 more times. With each trip, God started doing something in my heart… He gave me a heart for missions and to make His name known in the most remote places of the Earth!
He has blessed me with such a great opportunity through Adventures in Missions, to reach the least of these on the World Race and I couldn’t be more excited! As I begin this journey, I am blessed and humbled to have you join me in seeing what God is capable of doing!
