“Be flexible.” This is a statement that anyone who has been involved in missions for any amount of time is sure to hear. Things don’t go as planned, that’s just part of it. My squad experienced change immediately when Hurricane Irma canceled our flight from Atlanta to Colombia. After spending a couple nights at a very generous church in the Atlanta area, we proceeded to take a total of 6 buses, 2 trains, and 2 planes to arrive in Medellin after 48 long hours of travel. After being here for less than a week, I can already tell you that the long travel days were so worth it. Medellin is an absolutely beautiful city with incredible people and culture.
Within our first couple days of ministry, we have helped build a roof for a family, hung out with and loved on over 100 kids, and my friend Brenton Bicknell got to share his testimony with a group of 40+ homeless men at a church service. God is on the move in Medellin, Colombia.
At the end of the month we are going to host a church service in a town where we are doing ministry, capped off with a concert and baptisms. I’m super excited to see the relationships we have built grow and see people taking their next steps in their walk with the Lord!
Prayer Requests: Our squad is under some serious spiritual attack, from sickness to dark nightmares, prayers for peace and health would be great. As I mentioned earlier, we are working towards a big service in 2 Sundays. Pray for hearts to be prepared and ready to respond to the call God has on their lives.
Thank you so much for your prayers and support!!
