Hey y’all! I’m supposed to write this blog with some information about me, so here it goes.
I was born in Rochester Hills, Michigan but don’t remember much about it because I moved to Huntsville, Alabama the summer before the 2nd grade year. I’ve grown up heavily involved in sports, which keeps my life extremely busy, but I’m thankful for the relationships I’ve built and the lessons I’ve learned about life and my walk with Christ from my coaches.
I’m without a doubt a people person, and thrive in an environment where I can be with any number of people. I would much rather be just sitting with friends saying nothing at all than lay at home alone watching Netflix. And if there’s an opportunity for a large group of people to hang out, you can count on me to be there.
I love to connect with people and get to know them and their lifestyle. Growing up in the Bible Belt and going to a small Christian school, everyone I see regularly is very similar. I am thrilled at the idea of getting to see new cultures and meet new people from all walks of life and learn about them.
Now that we’re basically best friends, enough about me. This whole World Race journey is about taking a leap of faith and trusting God with everything within me. I’ve grown up going to a Christian school and always in church so I’ve always known about God, but over the past year I’ve really been making my faith my own and have begun to know God. The work He has done in my life is nothing short of miraculous (I’ll share parts of that in later blogs) and after dying on the cross for me, I have no choice but to spread His word and further His Kingdom, and the World Race provides me with an incredible opportunity to do so.
“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31
