We have a change in plans…. we are now headed for HONDURAS!!
I am sitting at the JFK airport in New York City, waiting to board a plane to Costa Rica! As some of you know, Costa Rica holds a special place in our hearts. This is where I studied spanish and where Luke asked me to be his wife. We are so excited to be able to step foot again in this amazing country.
This was not the original plan 🙂 Because of the Olympics in Europe, flights to Bulgaria were not within budget for our squad, so we have been re-routed to Central America for the beginning of our mission work. The plan is to spend 3 months in Central America and then move on to Europe, Asia, and finally Africa.
Upon arrival in Costa Rica, we will take a bus to Nicaragua and spend the night in a hostel, then travel by bus to Honduras, our ministry country for the month!!
Another surprise is that our entire squad of 54 will be ministering together this month! Usually, the teams end up splitting up between different ministries, but this month we will be together.
We are quickly learning flexibility and anticipating change.
We are also positive that God has BIG plans for us in Honduras. His plan is so much better than ours.
