Cappadocia, what a beautiful and magical place. Me and my team had the opportunity to take time off and head to this wonderful, historic place. We arrived on a Friday and set up camp.  Yes, we were camping. We headed out and spent the first night exploring caves that were once inhabited by Christians, long ago. Me and my team popped in and out of cave holes and shouted from mountain tops. It was great, it was honestly the greatest time of my life, I don’t think I have ever had that much fun ever.

The next day was air ballon rides!  We woke up at 3:30 am to go ride an air ballon. That morning I watched the sun rise at 3,000 feet. The view was spectacular.

When me and my team arrived back at camp at 6 in the morning we all thought nap time was appropriate. So we all laid around for a few hours, but something wasn’t right. My stomach felt funny, and sure enough a few hours later I was throwing up and running to the bathroom every 20 minutes or so. From that point forward I spent the day laying in a hammock throwing up over the side. I felt terrible, I don’t think my stomach has ever felt that bad, and I don’t get sick often. It felt like I went from the best day of my life to the worst.

I remember throwing up and then begging God for his mercy, to heal me and make me better. I then spent the rest of the day talking with God. As my team rented bikes and made way for exploring more of Cappadocia, I stayed at camp and talked with The Lord about anything and everything. I started to thank him for all the things I have in life and started to cry, my emotions took over and I cried out to God in my pain. I experienced my Father’s embrace, He comforted me.

Who cares if I didn’t get to see all of Cappadocia and see an underground city. I, as a son of God, got to spend the day with my Heavenly Father and it was way more awesome than anything this world has to offer, including Cappadocia.
