Dear Family and Friends,
After what has seemed like a very quick 4 years, I recently finished up the last semester of my undergraduate studies. On May 2, 2015 I graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelors degree in Architecture. These past four years have been some of the best of my life. I experienced an immense amount of growth personally, spiritually, professionally, and academically. I had tons of extraordinary experiences, traveled all over the US and Europe, gained work experience at two incredible Architecture firms, which confirmed my passion for architecture, and picked up a few more passions along the way. It’s hard to sum up all the amazing things that have happened in the past four years, but I think that covers the big things! As I have continued to grow and figure out who I am and who I want to be, it has become clear to me that I want to serve others and share the amazing gospel of Jesus, which has changed my life.
Over the past couple of years, God has given me a heart for serving and traveling. Instead of going straight into the professional world or grad school, I have the incredible opportunity to live out my passions and dreams by going on an adventure known as the World Race! On the World Race I’ll spend 11 months traveling to 11 countries serving “the least of these.” One of the unique things about the World Race is that it’s not only a mission trip, but also an intensive discipleship program designed to launch my generation into our specific calling in God’s kingdom.
I’ll be leaving the comfort of the States in September 2015 to travel to 11 countries, to live like the locals, and to spend my time loving and serving them. Serving will look different in each country; it will include things such as teaching children, working with orphans, church planting, working with victims of human trafficking, building homes, and whatever else God calls us to do at the moment, while bringing the restorative hope of our Father’s love to many tribes and nations. I’ll do all of this while having the privilege of seeing the amazing beauty and creation that God has given us that we call earth. God gave me a heart for others, and I intend to leave a positive impact wherever I find myself. I desire to be wrecked and radically changed by God’s grace, and molded into a better person that relentlessly loves Jesus and others.
There will be many challenges for me through this journey, and as I prepare to leave, one of my greatest challenges is raising financial support. Like most mission trips, I am required to fundraise the financial support. In order to make this trip happen, I must raise $16,267, which will cover all the field expenses for all 11 months of this trip. As I take this large step of faith in trusting the Lord, would you prayerfully consider partnering with me at $500, $250, $100 monthly or one time, or any other amount that you feel led to give? There is no amount too small.
If you feel led to give, you can do so in two ways:
