I feel as if I’m blogging from the trenches of Germany during World War II. I would be putting my pen to paper as bullets fly over my head and mortars explode all around me. I would be scared, cold, and uncertain of my future. I would write back home encouraging you to not mourn the failure of the past, diligently seek God and his plan for your life in the present, and trust Him and surrender completely to His will for your future. I would tell you to keep fighting the good fight, finish the race, and keep the faith. There would be so many things I would encourage you in of God’s love for you and the inheritance he wants you to receive. I would remind you of that your inheritance is not given to you based on what you’ve done but its given based on what your father has done for you. The same is true in our inheritance in Christ. Its based on what HE has done which was ultimately send his son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins. But not to digress from my war analogy.
That analogy is actually a bit too conservative to describe J Squads current reality. We are in the middle of war. A war that is not going to be fought tomorrow or the next day, but one that is going to be fought today. Satan is coming against our squad with all the ammunition He has. Lies of shame, fear, guilt, unworthiness, past, even apathy. He is not coming at us to harm us or draw blood; he is coming to take human life. He hates what J Squad is doing. We are major threat to his evil schemes and he will do whatever it takes to keep us from continuing. Now enough about him. He doesn’t deserve anymore attention. He has been made visible and now lets answer the call from our General.
THE BATTLE HAS BEEN won. We know the outcome of this war. Though the battle rages on, through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, every issue we deal with was settle at the cross. We are no longer slaves to fear, we are children of the King. J Squad has 38 warriors all brandishing double edges swords that penetrate bone and marrow. They penetrate and defeat the lies, they defeat the deception, and they overcome sin and death itself. We go to war at 7 pm tonight. Captives will be set free, chains will be broken, and lives will be changed. An awakening and an activation of the Holy Spirit will occur that will change the course of our race, our lives, and the lives around us. That includes YOU! I am calling upon you to stand with us, diligently seek the Lord, and put on the full armor of God. Life is a spiritual battle and the battlefield is the mind. Pray that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, would guard J Squads heart and minds tonight and going forward. God is leading us into war. The time is now. All the gifts and talents and abilities He has given us will be used. I am asking you to answer the war cry we will all chant tonight, RAH CHAZAK which is translated from Hebrew as STRONG AND COURAGEOUS just as God was equipping Joshua for war. The Kingdom of God is near and He is here with us. We can not be defeated. You can not be defeated. God is for you so who can be against you.
