It’s still hard for me to believe that my time in Costa Rica is done.

I mostly did construction work during my month in Costa Rica. Even though at the end of my work day I could see the wall I had painted or ceiling I sanded, I worried I wasn’t going through any internal change. What I know now is that even though I didn’t feel like I was having revelation after revelation, I was still learning. I learned to show up to my quiet time every morning even though I didn’t hear anything. I was learning what it meant to be part of a team. What patience looks like after seeing Angie have children crawl all over her during prayer night. What passion looks like seeing Pastor Gilbert pray and love his family. I think sometimes I chase the feeling that I’ve learned something over the lessons that take time to steep in.

I’m also happy to share that I got to make a video for my ministry hosts, Dave and Angie. They’re going back to the US in March to update the churches that help them with fundraising.

I’m still on my fundraising journey. I have a goal of $13,000 at the end of February and I’m about $600 away. I would love if you would consider donating so I can continue the work I’m doing in Nicaragua and the rest of my race.

If you would like to see more of what Dave and Angie are doing in Rio Azul, you can check that out here.
