You guys, God works in such incredible ways. He is constantly assuring me that no matter what curveballs come my way, in the end everything is going to be okay. My favorite bible verse, Isaiah 41:10 speaks so much truth into that statement. It reads “So do not fear for I am with you; do not be dismayed for I am your God, I will strengthen you and help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” This verse is something I cling to when I am faced with any kind of doubt or fear or hard time. In the midst of fundraising and beginning to talk to potential supporters, it is hard to maintain the positive, christian image that people would expect from someone who is about to embark on the journey of a lifetime. At times it is hard to accept the fact that life happens and it is not always the best and thats just the way it works. Lately the Lord has been showing me that it is okay to call on him at any time whether it is for support, energy, encouragement, motivation, etc.
It is so cool to me how Jesus knows the desires of our hearts and he provides for us so well. Yesterday I talked to a friend who had been going through a hard time and we weren’t super close so I didn’t really expect much from the conversation. Five minutes in, the conversation turned to God. We talked of the blessings he has placed upon us in our lives and we both realized kind of at the same time that we were sitting at the end of the hall talking to each other for a reason. We both just stared at each other with full hearts and appreciated the goodness of God and the bond that had just been made. Isn’t is so amazing how the Lord places certain people and emotions on our hearts and gives us the guidance we need to handle certain situations so boldly. I am constantly grateful for my joyful persona, knowing that it comes from the Lord. You guys GOD IS SO GOOD, I am so blessed in this life. Please continue to pray over me and my team for guidance and assurance in these upcoming months. For more information on me and this Gap Year, please check out the “about” link on my blog.
