It’s been a busy few days since my last update! I could type for hours, but I’ll keep it concise.

First things first, we were assigned our teams! There are typically 5-7 members on a team, and a few members have specific roles. We have 15 racers on our squad, so we split into 3 teams of 5. My team has all 3 of our squads‘ guys (Zaiah, Drake, and I), as well as two awesome young women (Bliz aka Elizabeth and Stephanie). We also have an alumni team leader, Grace, who has done the race before and will serve as our team leader our first 3 months of the race.

Stephanie is our teams Beauty for Ashes coordinator. I’m not too familiar with the organization, but they serve young woman around the world doing women retreats.
Zaiah is one of our squads logistics coordinator. He will work with another coordinator on another team to help organize long distance transportation between countries.

I am our teams treasurer. I‘m the only one with access to our team‘s funds, and I will help our team stay within budget. I will also have to keep track of spending and submit reports to The World Race headquarters each month. And finally, I‘ll work with our team leader to help organize short distance transportation.

Now, for a few more quick updates.

If and when we launch international in January, we will be launching to Guatemala!!! I’m super excited!

I have grown so much spiritually in the past week. We‘ve heard from so many different leaders with a ton of experience in the mission field. I brought notebook to journal in and keep track of my journey once we launch, but I’ve already filled up dozens of pages with revelations and new knowledge! I’ve already changed so much, and I can’t wait to see the person I become after one month in Chicago!

I ate a cricket and a fermented egg (It was black and grey) today. It was… It was interesting. Im having issues posting pictures and videos on here, so I’ll post on social media!

That’s it for now.
Love you all and God Bless!!!!
