Someone spoke over me at this last training camp that squad leading is a way to concrete in and set in what you learn on the World Race. I feel that there is more truth in that than I realize.
This past 2 weeks I got to see what it was like on the other side of training camp. To see the ones coming in that have no idea what they are about to get themselves into. To see the hunger in their eyes. To see the passion in their eyes as God shows them that he loves them even when they don’t feel worthy. To see the awareness that is given to them as lies are revealed and truth spoken over them. To see that the truth and freedom that I have can set people free. And not by me trying or acting, but simply being who God has made me to be in this season. To see that I am in fact ready for this next adventure with Y squad. I have been molded to be a person who loves wildly, brings joy into almost everything I do, and one who has a vision for people and who God says they are.
I know that training camp secured more of who I am. All that I have gone through is exactly what I needed. I am doing all I can in following what God says to do. Even when that means doing hard things.
I leave in less that 2 weeks to lead 47 people into more of God. I will go to Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and Thailand. I am so pumped for this! I know that I have so much to learn from all this. More growth. More refining. More of me seeing I have things to let go and let God have control. More God. Letting myself feel the worthiness he pours out on me.
I am ready.
With all that, I do need your help. I need your prayers to help me get through this. That is our weapon against the enemy. I need you to partner with me so I can go. I am about 1/3 of the way there. I have about $2000 and I need around $6000 for this 4 months and for the 2 times I go see my squad at the 8 month and final debrief. So if you feel led to partner with me, you can click on the left side where it says support me. I can’t thank those who have already supported me enough. You have helped me become who I am today and helped so many others out there that you may never know about.
