We were out on our first outing as a team and we went into target and had an assignment. To get 3 things that describe us. I grabbed monster energy drink (because it’s delicious) , the movie August Rush (cause I LOVE movies) and a cd (because I LOVE music). Well Aubrie grabbed the book Oh the Places you’ll go by Dr. Seuss. We all sat down and we read it and some where in it Christi heard the words high places and immediately thought of Habakkuk 3:19
19The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places.
So there it was. Within 30 minutes of being together we had out team name! So me being me I whipped out my phone (first time really using it in a week! I PROMISE) and found this explanation online.
The phrase ‘hinds’ feet’ is used in the Bible to denote an ability to overcome difficult challenges successfully, as in Verse 33 from Psalm 18 which reads ‘He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet, and setteth me upon my high places.’ A hind, which is a female red deer, is able to move quickly and easily across the rocks of a mountain, leaping from one rock to another without ever losing its footing. Thus the biblical verse means that God has inspired his believers and empowered them to overcome the obstacles which confront them, doing things that would otherwise be difficult or impossible without divine aid.
We knew that that was our name right when we read that. God was there with us every second and led us to that. He has placed us upon high places and is holding us up. Even thought we think we lose footing he is right there to catch us and protect us. This group has been chosen and put together by God and we will move mountains. We will also grow so much from each other in the next year!
I AM READY!!
I hope you all are ready for this journey. Cause it’s going to BE AMAZING! God has given us something that we CAN’T keep to ourselves.
