I’ve been serving with Courtney Folwick this month in Thailand. She is in need of support so she can continue on the World Race.
If you feel led to give, please support Courtney. Below is a message from her.
My name’s Courtney Folwick and I’m serving on the January 2010 Squad with Luann.
The World Race has been a life changing experience for me. I’ve been challenged to find my true identity in Christ and to walk in it.
I’ll never be the same!
God has given me opportunities to do His work in many ways over the past 5 months. I’ve volunteered at a Kid’s Camp in New Zealand,
where my team and I did labor to prepare the camp and I was Camp Mum. I evangelized in Australia and prayed over a city filled with
searching people. In the Philippines, I gave my heart to street boys that I mentored and taught. I also shared God’s love and hope
with people living in the dump and saw lives given to Christ. I loved little children and feed the hungry. In a Buddhist village in
Cambodia, I taught English and shared the Good News with people who had never heard the name of Jesus. Thirteen people accepted Christ
that month; PRAISE GOD! In Thailand, we handed out Bibles, encouraged the few Christians and led evangelistic concerts. I know God has
big plans for the next 6 months of the race and I want nothing more than to be able to continue to do the work He has set before me.
I’m reminded of Acts 20:24: “However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the
Lord Jesus has given me – the task of testifying to the gospel of God’s grace.”
In order to stay on the race I have $3,020 left to raise.
If 30 people donate $100 or if just 20 people commit to $25 a month, I’ll be able to finish The Race and continue to serve God for 3 months
in Africa and 3 months in Europe. I trust that God will provide, so please prayerfully consider supporting me monthly or with a one-time gift.
