Here’s a little about me…
I’m 27 years old. I was raised on a farm near the small town of Fairview, Oklahoma. I grew up in a Christian home with an older brother and sister (yes, I’m the baby!). My Dad prayed with me to receive Christ when I was only five years old, and my Mom has always been my main encourager. I am so blessed to have been raised in a loving Christian home!
I loved being a farm kid as well. I love being outside and always enjoyed helping my Dad with the cattle, driving tractor and riding my horses. I was definitely a horse-crazy girl and still am!
I graduated from Oklahoma State University (Go Cowboys!) in December 2004 with a degree in animal science and agricultural communications. While at OSU I competed on the women’s equestrian team (that’s horses for those who don’t know!), and I absolutely loved it!
Since January 2005, I’ve been living in Amarillo, Texas, and working for the American Quarter Horse Association in marketing and communications. God has blessed me in so many ways since coming to Amarillo. I have a great job, wonderful friends and an amazing church where I’m very involved.
Some things I love (in no particular order):
- Outdoor activities such as horseback riding, tennis, running, hiking, mountain biking, rollerblading, etc.
- Thunderstorms and the smell of rain
- Smiling and laughing
- Playing board or card games and setting jigsaw puzzles
- Spending time with friends and family
- Riding roller coasters
- Ice cream
- Traveling to new places
- Trying new things
- Worshiping God

One of my favorite verses is
Isaiah 40:31
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint.
God has done some amazing things in my life. It’s so cool to look back and see where He has brought me so far. It makes the future so exciting knowing He has even more plans in store for me, including the World Race! I am so excited!
