To pick up where I left off ….. This is a glimpse into the work we've been doing while living here at Caminul Felix in Romania. Our first project was to finish laying a foundation for one of the new homes.  Later, part of the other team went over and helped pour concrete.  According to our “boss” here, the foundation project was supposed to take us at least 3 days, when it only took us 3 ½ hours.

Determined to keep us busy for several days, our next assignment was to dig several trenches for the water lines going to and from each house.  This task was definitely more intense, but many of us discovered our love for pick-axing.  🙂  We easily spent a week digging and filling trenches.

Now my days are filled with painting.  First, I helped my team paint some type of farm trailer (or something) — see freshly painted item below.  I used a paint sprayer, and I, oh, soooo enjoyed it.  I even made a point to beat my team back to the sight after lunch just so I could do some more spraying.

Some days I didn’t do any physical work with my team and was blessed with the opportunity to babysit little baby Emma (the child of the man who we report to on the farm).  As much as I love having a project and seeing something fully completed, I love, love, love spending the morning and afternoon with this precious little soon-to-be 1 year old.  Even more exciting is that we'll be here to celebrate her first birthday with her, and her party is ladybug-themed.  Yay!  Spending time with her and her mother Tunde has been such a blessing.

We just started painting a fence yesterday.  This will likely be our final project because it’s a loooong fence, and we’re moving onto our next country a week from today.  Check back later for a picture of the completed pretty white fence.
