Sitting in Malaysia, my 11th month of this 11 month journey, I realized that going home in just two weeks means that I will again start paying for gas, along with all of my other bills, groceries, etc. Knowing that I can be reimbursed through Adventures in Missions for a few specific expenses (medical insurance and bills, travel, etc), I went to my World Race support account to see what extra money may be in there that I could ask to be sent to me so that I could have a small financial cushion waiting for me when I get home.
When I got to my account, however, what I saw wasn’t a surplus of funds – it was the opposite. I realized I was going to have to resurrect an issue I thought was dead.
Rather than having extra cash in my support account, due to a miscalculation, I am negative $1,000.00.
If I don’t raise that $1,000.00 in two weeks, then not only will I NOT be going home to a small cushion of cash to help me transition, I will be going home with a debt to Adventures in Missions.
So I’m raising the dead – I’m returning to fundraising and believing that God will provide the funds that I desperately need in order to go home without having accrued $1,000.00 of debt with no income this year.
Romans 13:8 commands us to let no debt remain but the debt to continue to love one another – so I’m asking you, my friends, family, community – to donate in love and help me to keep true to the word of God.
Please prayerfully consider helping me to come home to a clean slate financially, I believe it’s God’s will that I come home debt-free, and I believe He’s going to provide for me to be able to do so.
