Growing up Christian, I've always been taught and reminded that with God, all things are possible.  As a kid, it's easy to put all your trust in God, but as an adult, we have the tendancy to rely on ourselves and take charge of our own fate.  God has presented me with this amazing opportunity to do His work all over the world.  In order to go down the path He has set for me, I have/had obstacles to overcome.  While at training camp, I let fear and doubt overwhelm me.  I began to question whether or not the decision to embark on this journey was my idea or His idea.  I focused on what had to happen in order for me to be able to go, and it all seemed so impossible.  At that moment, all I could focus on was the facts — I have 7 weeks to sell or rent my home, find a home for one of my dogs, and raise nearly $15,000.  A friend reminded me that God did not give me a spirit of fear but a spirit of power.  Without God, those obstacles of mine would be seem impossible, but lucky me, I am not alone in this …. I am doing this with God.  Matthew 19:26 — Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God, all things are possible."

I returned home this past Sunday evening with faith like a child, believing that God would be walking alongside me as I began to prepare for this journey of mine.  Monday evening I listed my house for rent on a website, and within an hour, I already had someone come view my home and agree to rent it.  Not only did I get a great feeling from this family, but they also expressed that them seeing my ad within minutes of it being posted as a "God thing" — their words, not mine.  smiley Then this morning, I had a conversation with a lady who expressed interested in caring for my dog while I was gone.  While talking to her, she thanked me for reaching out to her about keeping my dog.  Thanked me — how crazy is that?!

I prayed to God last week that if He wanted me to go on this "trip", then I needed him to show up big and make it clear to me.  Matthew 7:7 — Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened for you.  Nothing has been finalized yet, but God is obviously clearing the way for me, knocking down the hurdles I have before me.  Needless to say, He has delivered!
