Sometimes you look for God’s awesomeness and seem to find only the mundane. It takes some time to figure out that what you see as mundane in your flesh is indeed God’s awesomeness in a different light.
The teaching sessions during training camp have been incredibly encouraging and comforting, but not at all what I expected. I had this idea in my head that I’d be greatly moved and tears would be streaming down my face on more than one occasion. This idea hasn’t yet made its into my reality.
The teaching sessions have simply been reminders for me – Reminders of the lessons He’s taught me over the past 2-3 years. It’s been crazy how the lessons taught here have been almost identical to the lessons God has taught me recently – discipleship, identity, chains, wounds and relationship.
I don’t know how else I could be sitting here blogging to you from a loft on a ranch in the outskirts of Chaing Mai other than through God’s calling and provision. The funds and donations that have flooded in have been an overwhelming blessing. The strangers that in a couple of hours became friends were perfectly placed here in this moment with me as well. All the different cultures and personalities have been such a blessing. Plus, I’m not sure how I could’ve made it physically and emotionally so far without God’s almighty strength.
Without a doubt, God is leading His people to rise up and go. We may not be the most educated or the most fit, but we are being called one by one through God’s Holy Spirit maybe not around the world, but to somewhere. Your job. Your family. Your grocery store. Your nation. Etc. Don’t doubt His whisper in your ear. Embrace it. Follow it. Learn to love it.
