We have arrived at our first country.. Guatemala! We are in the city of Santa Cruz de Quiche. Yes, it's spelled like the egg, but it's pronounced differently. 🙂 Since I'm not much of a writer, I figured pictures are worth a thousand words. Enjoy! We cook breakfast and dinner for the whole squad and rotate it between teams; Our lodging; my team swished in a tuk tuk; Sierra brushing her teeth while dancing (we actually do not dance in public for cultural sensitivity; the girls sleeping area (since it’s monsoon season here, our hosts were gracious to have the rooms ready for us instead of us tenting)
Independence Day for Guatemala

Mountains of Guatemala; Kids were running while onlookers spray them with water; Mayan ruins; parade; random kids who wanted their picture taken (Funny side story… one of the boys asked me how old I was and I told him 28. I asked how old he was and he answered 30.)
