Dear Brothers and Sisters!
Praise and glory be to God. I pray this letter finds you well in his mercy and blessings! As the Apostle Paul would write, “First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you” (Romans 1:8).
I am writing to you to let you know about some new and exciting things that are happening in my life. My heart has always been broken for those who have been in need, particularly those who live in far less fortunate countries, who do not have the hope or opportunities that we have here in America. As many of you know, I was born in Hong Kong, and my parents came to America to give my sisters and me the opportunities that they did not have growing up. God has blessed me in more ways than I can count, and I want to share God’s love and blessings with those who may not have had the liberty to experience Him. It has been a long time in the waiting, but I have just recently separated from the company I have been working for to fulfill the calling that God has always placed in my heart.
I will be serving as a missionary/humanitarian aid worker through the organization Adventures in Missions in their World Race program. The World Race is an 11-month Christian mission trip to 11 different countries around the world. Currently, I will be going to Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, India, Nepal, Mozambique, Swaziland, and South Africa. With God’s guiding hand and our broken hearts, we will be acting for God’s Kingdom through adventure, ministry, community and self-discovery as we serve and work for His Kingdom around the globe. We will be serving in a variety of capacities such as partnering with local churches, ministries and communities to preach the Gospel, working in local construction projects, planting churches, helping at orphanages, ministering to women and children who are trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking and bringing the restoration and hope of the Father’s Love to the tribes and nations that we will be in contact with.
I am so grateful for this opportunity that God has given me and am trusting that God will provide for all my needs! And He can do that through your help! Will you please pray for the team and me as we prepare for the trip and for the time we will be spending around the world sharing God’s Love?
I am also in need of financial support. I need to raise $15,500 in order to go to the World Race, and this covers all of my expenses in the field such as food, travel and living expenses. This financial support can be given as a one-time gift or as a monthly donation, wherein you choose the amount and the beginning and end dates. Any monetary contribution is greatly appreciated!
Below is a response card, inviting you to share in this ministry. If you feel called to share financially, please make checks payable to Adventures in Missions with “Lolita Tam” on the memo line, and return the response card with your donation to Adventures in Missions, PO Box 534470, Atlanta, GA, 30353-4470. The response card will provide Adventures in Missions with the information necessary to send you a receipt for your tax-deductible donation. Just click the “Support Me” link in the upper left hand side of the page and complete your donation as instructed.
Whatever you decide, you can always email me words of encouragement at [email protected] or leave a comment on my blog. I truly hope to stay in touch with you and want to hear from you to see how God has been working in you your life. Continue to stay up-to-date at my blog so you can see God’s Hands at work through this ministry.
I am so excited to see how God will move in my life and in the lives of others in the coming year. I hope to not only be a blessing to those I serve, but also to you. I am honored to go as a representative of Christ Jesus to the nations around the world. I thank you in advance for all your prayers and financial support. May God bless you as you prayerfully consider joining with me in this ministry.
As an encouragement to all my brothers and sisters and as salutations the Apostle Paul puts it best. “Peace be to the brothers, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ” (Ephesians 6:23). “To the only wise God be glory forevermore through Jesus Christ! Amen” (Romans 16:27).
Love in Christ,

Lolita Tam

P.S. You can also help fund the "Keep Lolita Alive" fund that includes travel insurance and vaccinations that are not part of the cost of the trip. If you would like to do so, e-mail me for more information. Thanks!
