I absolutely cannot believe that month one is nearly already over. This is my final week in India, and with only 6 days until we leave I feel like I have so much to do in so little time. I have never been on this type of mission trip before where after I finish in one country there is another one after that. Its weird that when I am finished here I am not just going back to the US. But let me tell you, I am so STOKED for my next country. In just 6 days we begin our next travel day to NEPAL!! Enough about next month though, I want to tell you about the last month. The last month of my life has been one like no other. From leaving home for the first time, to shaking beetles out of all my belongings – I have grown in ways like never before and done things I thought I would never do. Ministry has been AMAZING. Five days a week my team and I go to different villages and love on children and teenagers of all kinds, as well as gift the village with mango tree’s for their people to enjoy fresh fruit. We have also been sharing our testimonies with the people of the village and I have loved to be able to share with them what Jesus has done in my life, and then invite them to ask Jesus to begin to work in their own lives. For me, this year is about dying to self and something I hold very high in my life is cleanliness. Needless to say, I have had to let that go – I have been showering with a bucket for the last month, and I expect nothing less for the next eight months (I’m honestly beginning to enjoy it). I have slept in my tent DRENCHED in sweat every night, and yet I have never been so humbled. Also, last night someone actually BROKE IN to our house, how crazy is that!!! Luckily for us, nothing was stolen and our guard was able to contain him until the police arrived. However, I am realizing that with things like air conditioning, cleanliness, security, and especially comfort – I have grown up so blessed. It was by the grace of God that I was born into a fine country like our America. India has humbled me so much, and I am so blessed to be here living in the same conditions as the people here do. I am so thankful to each of my supports, thanks for reading!
