Hello, Hello, Hello! LIFE UPDATE HEADING THIS WAY!!!
Dear Friends, Family, & Supporters — I am so sorry that I have been off the grid for the last month and I have failed to give you guys weekly updates as I usually do. Let me catch ya up to speed!
In the last month a lot happened. A lot of spiritual warfare. A lot of prayer. A lot of tears, but a whole lot of strength.
Unfortunately, some things happened where a couple of my squad mates had to go home. Sad time. Tough for my squad. Tough for me. On top of that, I have been so conflicted about the future. What this summer looks like, If Liberty University is really the right fit for me, what I feel called to as an career for the rest of my life. Stress. Problems. I have felt so attacked. I feel beat down by the enemy. I cried 12 times in one day at one point. I was an emotional wreck.
BUT. Satan didn’t know who he was dealing with.
He was dealing with my Jesus. My savior who lives inside of me and is working in and through me. He was literally no match for my Jesus — but the he sure did put up one heck of a fight.
I sat down with the Lord. I battled this thing out. I brought my community into it. We interceded. I begged the Lord to take these attacks from the enemy away from me. Satan had invaded my dreams, my thoughts, and my emotional state. I didn’t give up though. I ran after Jesus in this low.
Jesus provides freedom to his children who seek after it. Which is exactly what He did.
I am free of this. I am walking in truth. I am running along with Jesus hand in hand.
ANYWHOWAYS. ALONG SIDE OF ALL THAT BEAUTIFUL MESS..
Life here at African Bible College has been so sweet. I have loved the people I’ve came in contact with here. I have loved becoming friends with people who were once strangers here. This place is filled with so much community and love. I have grown to love things like having a bed again. Bug spray has been my best friend. (no malaria for this guy!!!!!)
Oh and ministry!!! I have loved the ministry I’ve been supplied with here. Firstly, ever Tuesday and Friday my team goes to a village outside of Lilongwe. On Tuesdays I am a sixth grade English teacher. Loving every second of that. On Fridays, my team Is in charge of helping at the villages soccer games and I feel like a student section of 6, my favorite. Along side of that, everyday my teammate Josh and I have been helping in the news room here at the college. We help set up for the news that is broadcasted all over Lilongwe. Lastly, my personal favorite. My teammate Bo and I are in the midst of planning a day camp for the kids that go to the academy here at African Bible. Its actually happening one week from yesterday and I’m excited to see how all of our hardworking will pay off in showing these kids Jesus’ love. Were calling the camp, Camp Agape. Im sooo excited to tell each of you how it went.
PRAYER REQUEST.
– Camp Agape, and that it is a success.
– I move to South America in two weeks, pray my squad is able to finish up in Malawi well. Its been an amazing four months in Africa.
– Clarity of the future.
– Personal Growth
Thanks so much for reading & keeping up with this journey. Seriously means so much to me. I love the affirmation I get from each blog. Keep it up. Love y’all.
