Hello friends, family, & supporters! As you can concur from my last blog, I have officially been in Ecuador now for almost a whole month. Let me catch ya up to speed on what I’ve been doing the last little bit of a race.

As you may have have seen via my social media, when I first arrived in Ecuador the rest of my squad and me attended something called an ‘awakening weekend.’ An awakening weekend consist of several squads coming together to worship the Lord, refocus, and to encourage each other to finish the race whole heartily! My squad had the pleasure of sharing our awakening weekend with World Race: Fusion 4 & World Race: Gap L. I can so purely say that my awakening weekend was hands down some of the best days that I have ever had on the race! It was so encouraging to meet new people who are going through the same season that I am currently in. For those of you who don’t know ~~ Malawi was a hard two months for me. Malawi was two months full of many tears, spiritual warfare, identity crisis, Jesus wrecking my plans time and time again, and lots of hard things. By the time we were leaving Malawi I was asking Jesus just to get me through these next three months, which I didn’t realize at the time but thats so sad!!!! I am on the adventure of a lifetime and I was asking the Lord to just ‘get me through it.’ Luckily, He had much better plans in mind for me for Ecuador. At Awakening the Lord freed me from so much darkness and spiritual warfare that I had been battling with for so long. The Lord met me where I was, and He restored me. I cried out for the Lord so deeply, and begged his spirit to fill me and bring me the joy that I possess from Him! That is exactly what He did. He brought me Joy. I was patient with the Lord at awakening and He gave me back my joy. He found me when I was amongst the darkness. Truly amazing. Let me get an amen!!!!

Moving on, for the whole time that I am in Ecuador we are doing all squad, which means that my whole squad is living together as one happy family for the three months we are here. Which is super awesome. We are living in an adorable house with a fireplace, living room, functioning kitchen, bunk beds (ugh my fave my fave), and hot water!!! Crazy upgrade to South America from Africa. Wild stuff haha. There are like real malls, and mcdonalds here in Ecuador.. YEAH I know right?? I love the life I am living in Ecuador. My host names are Mabe and Fabi and they are DREAM BOAT HOST!!! Like my real life Ecuadorian parents.

Ministry here has looked different than any other month of the race for me, but being on an all guys team I sort of expected what we got. I’m sure you can too, yep, my team is doing construction !! We helped finish a house our first week of ministry for girls who are minors who get pregnant and are not supported by their families. Super awesome. Lately though, we have been digging trenches around the perimeter of our yard. This has is happening because someone recently broke into our neighbors house, so to prevent the same thing from happening to ours we are digging 12 foot deep trenches with barbed wire, scorpions, and spiders haha!!! So if they manage to get over our 10 foot tall wall/gate they’ll be greeted by a nice fall. Yikes haha. Gotta protect these missionaries though!! Life is weird yet so so cool. Thats all for now folks. Peace and Blessings !!!
