I’ve learned to hear God’s voice better this past month.

I was walking in a grocery store checking out and I heard Him tell me to talk to the couple in front of me. Halfway through my discussion with them I found out they were also Christians. They invited me to their church and I immediately said yes. However, in the back of my mind I knew I would probably just skip out so I could sleep in or relax the whole day.

When God asks us to do something it’s a privilege and blessing for us. It’s not just about being obedient. With that occurring to me the morning of the church service, I hurried out the door in pursuit of what the Lord had for me.

I took a taxi, got lost with my driver, and my phone died. With no directions to the church, the Lord still got me there. On time.

I worshiped the Lord that day with two-hundred other Thai believers. I couldn’t understand the words they were singing but just watching them dance and pour out their hearts to God was so cool to watch.

The couple was so happy I came, they treated me like I was their son. During the service one of their friends took the time to translate everything the pastor was saying. They introduced me to all their friends, fed me, prayed over me and even drove me home. It made my whole week. All of this came from a whisper from God and a little obedience.

I didn’t go into full detail with what happened that Sunday service because words can’t describe how filled up I was and honored to be praising the Lord with another nation. He blessed me that day and continues to do so every day. He’s doing his part, we just need to do ours.
