First and foremost, welcome to my blog! This will be my journal, my adventurer’s log as I prepare for and eventually launch into the World Race. But, in an effort to not jump the gun, here is a little bit about me.

My name is Logan Stovall. I’m twenty-two and a lifetime resident of Clevegas, er, I mean, Cleveland Tennessee. Deep in my heart I am two things, a writer and an adventurer. When I’m not diving into new books or writing in a booth at a cafe I can usually be found getting caught in a deluge on a mountain trail or tubing down a river.

Even when I was young I remember writing stories and dreaming of travel. At the age of sixteen I felt called to go to the nations and spread the Word, but at that age I was terrified of what that meant. In many ways I lost sight of my calling and gifting, eventually trying to run from them only to end up with depression and, at my lowest point, contemplating suicide. It took that one night for me to realize that I couldn’t go any further on my own, and I ran back to God with every bit of strength I could find.

Fast forward a few months and here I am, trying to work on becoming a professional writer, when I feel like God is calling me to take some time off from my plans and pursue Him. Long forgotten dreams of travel and adventure reawakened, and within a matter of days I put in my application for the World Race. Here I am now, just in the beginning stages of this journey. Yes, I’m scared and nervous, but I am also anxious to see what God will do in me as well as through me over the course of this adventure.
