So feed me lies, and watch them sink as I sail on by.

I'm a boat.

A mere body, in the body of the King.

A lung. A limb.

I've been called not to be a captain, but apart of the royal fleet.

Called to be the hands and feet.

To wash onto unfamiliar lands, and set slaves free.

I've landed in the place where I'm to be.
Just a man? That's enough for me.

I've been set free

From the garbage and lies.

Those shackles that tied me down.

They no longer control my destiny.

I've lived for myself.

Fallen into complacency.
But then, I met a Man, who was crazy for me.

I told Him " You don't want me. I'm dirty; unclean. I've doubted You."

But then He spoke. And I'll never forget that crisp whisper.

"Your guilt was settled with. So was your shame. It's time to be new."

You see, my Jesus hurt for my hurt. He bled His blood, for mine. And He died to set me free.

We cursed Him, and He handed us a blessing.

So ask me what the biggest gift I've received is, and I'll say thorns and nails.

Because my Jesus perfectly handcrafted this ship with the very nails I drove into His hands and feet.

So feed me lies, and watch them sink as I sail on by.

I'm a ship
