Dear First Donor,
At 8:02 pm on September 27th, I received an email that you had just donated to my trip. My body was immediately flooded with so many different emotions. The overwhelming emotion that I felt was relief. I am not sure why that was my strongest emotion. I suppose I have this underlying fear that no one will support my trip. It is a fear that stems from wounds I received when a handful of people close to me expressed their dissatisfaction with my choice to do the World Race. You supplied me with a support that some of the people closest to me did not even express. In a way, that connects you and I in the deepest sense of the word.
But you chose to support me and all I wanted to do was give you a giant hug and say endlessly thank you’s because of it.
You will never understand how much your donation means to me.
Thank you for your contribution to the next year of my life. In return, I want to make you a promise: I promise to tell someone that I meet, while I am traveling, about your contribution to getting me there (where ever I might be). I promise to post a picture with that person that I met, tag you in the picture and introduce you to the person that you allowed me to interact with.
Thank you so much!
Love, Logan
