Hello, Hi, Howdy, Molvei, Gooie Dag.
I´m Lloyd Joynt, the South African blue team member.
I was born (1972) and raise in the city of Johannesburg.
I´ve lived in Jefferys Bay for the last six years.
I am blessed to have two families, me mom, step dad, two brothers, a step brother, sister, my dad, step mom and two brothers.
As an artist I can best describe me as a master peace that got stolen, dropped in the mud and then washed down the road into a ditch.
Fortunately someone picked me up and took me to the art restorer who just happened to be the original artist, the Master himself, who has placed me in His house along with many other of his master peaces.
I´ve been blessed with an artistic talent, & use many opportunities to practice & develop this gift God had given me.
With a minimum amount of formal training, I´ve worked four years for an industrial design consultancy, three years as a designer & project manager for a corporate signage Co. (1999) & one year doing architectual work (2005).
I do acrylic, water paintings, pencil & pen sketches.
My passion is to draw cartoons. God blessed me with the idea of asking someone for their signature & then I turn it into a picture.
I´ve been a Christian for 9 years.
Six years ago I was on vacation in the Transkie (near Port St. Johns) where I was praying, seeking God´s will for me life, He led me to walk.
I did not know where to or for how long.
I started with a small bag, tent, lighter, Bible, pocket knife, sleeping bag, a note book, pen and the clothes that I had on me.
He led me, fed me, clothed me & cared for me in the most amazing ways.
We walked for three months on the beach till Jeffreys Bay.
If I wrote more about this, my blog would be a book.
The six years in J-Bay have been a blessing.
God Planted me in a body (Victory Christian Church) where I spent three months with YWAM(Youth With A Mission), 2.5 years with United Christian Student Association and three months with Victory´s Surf Masters Discipleship School (yip, this city boy has learned to surf).
Being a part of The World Race is a huge blessing & a privilege for me & is a continuation of the amazing John 10:10 adventure of being a son of God.
To my parents & all those in the Body of Christ, for who without I could not be, I Thank God for You & Love you all.
Thank You!
