friday’s turned into red tea and volleyball matches at a rehab center and blind eyes literally being opened- YOU THINK IM JOKING.
i serve a miracle-working God. plain and simple. when faith is running little, he shows up big. when stories happen and testimonies are shared from things that happened months ago, he uses it in the present moment to bring healing and wholeness. I was sitting today with men who’ve been addicted to heroin for half my lifetime and have experienced more trials than I probably will in the rest of my lifetime. some were believers, some were not. some loved Jesus, some wanted to hear nothing about him and just scrape by with their treatment. no matter where they were at, I knew the Holy Spirit wanted to move in big ways, no matter where these guys stood. (hey, you. no matter where you’re at, the Holy Spirit wants to move in big ways no matter where you stand also). so we start talking about cricket and the weather and past drug usage and where faith comes from. I share a story of a little lady all the way back in Swaziland named gogo Maria who was healed of knee injury before my very eyes and started dancing and jumping on her new knee immediately- these men are shocked and don’t believe that could happen. I say, “WATCH THIS. who has pain they want to be delivered from?” and a man who was sitting quietly and doesn’t speak too much English turns to his friend and begins whispering. I feel the spirit stirring. his friend tells us that his vision is shot; because of the drug use in the past, he is unable to see clearly enough to read his bible. I ask if I can lay hands on his eyes and ask for vision; he agreed. we ask for new eyes, new sight, new ways to see, all in the name of Jesus, and then my friend experienced something that was unbelievable. SIGHT. NO BLURRINESS. CLEAR VISION ONLY, IMMEDIATELY. I ask him more questions, but that was the last I heard from him- he was too busy reading to talk after that.
miracles through the lens on the Holy Spirit are just a part of normal life; that’s something that I’m learning while being in india. friendship with the Holy Spirit and a genuine love with him is my deepest desire, and it’s awakening something deep in me that was dying to come to the surface. the kingdom is ALREADY HERE! I have the power to step into this daily! so do you! you don’t need to be on the other side of the world to experience this wonder working power- I guarantee he’s doing something in your heart too.
