What do you see? a little trash? some buildings in the background? It may not be obvious at first glance, but those aren’t buildings. It is a wall- a wall to cover up a squatter community. The government put this wall up to hide these people from the cars passing on the highway.

Let’s look at this wall for a minute: It’s pretty. Nice colors. Good height. Looks pretty real. But, back to reality- it’s fake. This is a facade at its finest.

What kind of wall are you putting up?

What kind of trash are you hiding?

You may have what you think is a nice wall, but who are you trying to fool? Or better yet, who are you trying to please by putting up this wall. Do you care that much about the opinions of others that you have to hide who you really are? Is the facade you are putting up even beneficial in the least bit? What are you learning? Are you even growing? What are you so afraid of?

Galatians 1:10 says “Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.”

My best friend gave me this verse almost 4 years ago and I am still delving into it. It has been a process of learning to speak truth over myself about who the Lord says I am in order to knock down those stupid, insignificant walls. My challenge is for you to do the same.
Who does God say you are? Claim it over yourself. There is so much power in your words. Please feel free to comment on this blog with the truth of who God says you are.
