There are 54 people that make up my squad, M squad. 2 of those people are our squad leaders,
Mark Schandel and
Kyla Cornelius. Mark and Kyla were both a part of the October 2008 race- G squad. They felt the Lord calling them to squad lead and were obedient, leaving about 3 months after they returned home from their race. At the end of this month, Mark and Kyla will be going home. This is normal protocol as they are to raise up and empower new squad leaders and make team changes as needed.
Last week, these changes were put into effect. I, along with Noe Rivera and Mike Schuerman will be the new squad leaders and lead for the remaining 8 months. Mark and Kyla put a tremendous amount of prayer into these changes, as did I when I received the invitation to squad lead. The Lord really confirmed in my heart that this is the step He wanted me to take. This is my heart. My heart is for encouraging, growing, stretching, and loving on people. So, for the most part, the majority of my time spend ministering the squad and I am so humbled to lead every single one of them. I am aware that this is not going to be easy, but I know this is the place where the Lord wants to grow me the most.
This month in Cambodia, the 3 new squad leaders will travel around with Mark and Kyla to learn the ropes of this squad leading business. We will visit each team as they are doing their ministry. Please be praying for us during this transition month.
What happens to Wrecked 52:7, you ask?
