Only 3 days left to go! So what were my top 3 favorite months on my Race and why?
- Hands down South Africa was my favorite month. We worked with an organization called Impact Africa to go out into squatter camps to evangelize, heal, listen to the stories of the broken and whatever else the Lord was calling us to do that day. I grew in hearing the Lord’s voice so much that month and saw the Lord do so many miraculous things. On top of that the interns and staff were so great at pouring into us. We worked hard but they took time to make sure we had rest and adventure as well. We left that month refreshed, energized and better equipped to share the Gospel.

- Bulgaria was my second favorite month. We worked with an organization called Mission Possible. We stayed at a conference center in a small village out in the middle of nowhere with the most amazing ministry hosts. Emmy and Val are such amazing people, their love for the Lord, each other, us, and just people was inspiring. Some days looked like spending hours going through donated baby clothes to pack baby boxes for the gypsy villages, other days looked like cleaning dishes, mopping floors and cooking, still some more relaxed days we went out and collected walnuts and pears from their trees that they would use to make jam that they sell. We did a lot of different things, and doing them with the amazing Mission Possible staff was an unforgettable experience.

- It’s so hard to pick a third, because a number of countries hold this spot for a variety of reasons. I’ll be honest I didn’t love Haiti itself as a county, in fact it was probably one of my least favorite places. But I loved our ministry there and our hosts at Mission of Hope. The cool thing was we had hundreds of other Americans come through with short term teams and a new round of interns. The Lord taught me that I love discipleship and discipling others. I enjoyed spreading the Gospel to Haitians but I loved pouring into and challenging other Americans to go deeper in their faith.
