Alright it’s time for a funny blog…
I got mugged by a monkey will forever be more than just an episode of HIMYM as of now.
We’re on the east coast of Malaysia but had yet to spend some serious time at the beach. So when we heard we weren’t starting ministry until late afternoon we asked our ministry host if we could go to the one nearby for a few hours in the morning.
70% chance of rain was predicted but we brought the sunshine with us.
We couldn’t believe our eyes when we arrived. Bright blue water, rocks, and jungle that came right up to the beaches.
”Be very careful of the monkeys, whatever you do don’t give them food.” Our ministry host told us as we got out of the car.
We spent some time in the water and on the rocks before deciding to walk along the bridge and over to the beach on the other side.
“Beware of the monkeys“ is the sign that greets you as you step on to the bridge.
“ Aww I wanna see a monkey!“ I said to Erica not realizing just how careful I should have been in my wish making.
Erica and I walked slower than the rest of the group taking our time to take in the magnificent views and take some selfies.
“How blessed are we?” We said to each other as we continued along the route after stopping for a moment.
