Let’s face it, most of you know that I am still in the process of fundraising.  It’s so easy to focus on the numbers when you’re fundraising. Crunch, multiply, divide, subtract, repeat. But I just finished an amazing book called the God Ask, and I’ve put on some new glasses.

God asked me – NO challenged me to sit down, and really LOOK through his glasses, I always knew that The World Race was worth the sacrifice, and the time, and the money- God’s callings always are. God’s vision was never about money – I’ve been thinking WAY too small. His vision has always been about people, and that includes both my supporters, and the lost.

With these glasses I can FULLY visualize why this is a good investment and here’s what I see. P.S. I saved the coolest one for last.

1. God’s vision of support is way bigger than just me, or my supporters. When I get supported, I get to support my squad of 41 people. That’s crazy!!!!!  Anyone who invests in me is investing in 41 people, who are going to invest in hundreds of people around the world. Not even counting the people we meet, partnering with me connects you to hundreds of people that are supporting my teammates and I. You are part of something WAY bigger than you could imagine.

And to give you some real vision – here they are: Ps – the world on our shirts is inside a pair of glasses – HOW COOL IS THAT?

2. There’s only one kingdom that lasts forever. It’s God’s kingdom. We’re called to invest our time and money, but most importantly our hearts into it. What we invest today lasts forever – what other investment does that? Sure- we will be taking care of people’s immediate needs, but we’re also going to invest and build the kingdom out there.

3.  The World Race is a different kind of short term missions trip. RIGHT NOW there are 671 people on the field working in countries ALL OVER THE WORLD – I can see where each squad is at on my trip dashboard. 170 people are going out in August, and another close to 200 people will leave in October. When one squad leaves a country, another squad comes in. I may only be in a country for a month- and I pray that I will have a lasting impact, but the cool thing is we get to be a part of a never ending chain of missionaries. I will pick up where someone else left off, and when I go – I will get to pass on the harvest to someone else.

4.  Lastly, The sun will never set on the people you are investing in, transforming and spreading hope to.  Whether you are soundly asleep, or driving to work, or out at dinner someone in the world is being blessed by YOU, because we are literally traveling to all 4 corners of the globe

I feel so blessed that God has given me some new lenses, I’m 10 x more excited now than I was a month ago to be a part of this amazing adventure, and I’m so excited to minister to both supporters and those around the world.
