In India, we joked about how it felt as if we were in a sauna…

Now in Estonia we have a sauna in the church.

My how things have changed!

In Nepal, we had to walk 45 minutes to get to an internet cafe that 50% of the time was down.

We are now in the land where skype was invented and even in the middle of the forest you can find wifi.

We have three grocery stores a 5 minute walk away, a dishwasher that we forget exists so we still do dishes by hand, an oven, a washer and a coffee maker. I was wishing for a can opener, and low and behold there was one in the drawer!

Are we still on the World Race?

The crazy thing is, this month is a complete miracle. About 3 weeks ago, we didn't even know this place existed. We were still uncertain where we were going to be or if we even had contacts to partner with. About 3 weeks ago, we had a ministry location for one team… maybe 2.

Now all 7 teams (48 people) are dispersed amoung Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. The Lord provides!

Ironically, the Pastor of this church is in America attending semenary school. His wife has completely welcomed us in off the streets and continues to take such good care of us! (Would you invite 7 strangers into your home on a weeks notice?) We got to skype with the Pastor the other day, and this took me by surprise:

He mentioned a trip that he took to Walmart. He was shocked at how hard it was to get all of his shopping done! He just didn't have enough time!

Now, my first thoughts were – Oh, it's because Walmart is so huge, there are so many options, the lines were too long etc etc.

He goes on to explain, "There were just too many people to pray for!"

…what?!

NOT my first reaction in Walmart. Actually, that is my opposite reaction in Walmart.  Usually my goal is in and out as quick as possible avoiding the most people as possible. But, here is this man, from Estonia, wandering through Walmart prioritizing people over his need for eggs and milk.

But really what are my priorities? What are my priorities back home as compared to here?
Sometimes I look forward to home so I can wake up in my own bed without the obligation to "do ministry"… to REST.

I think sometimes I miss the point.

Why did God take an Estonian man and bring him all the way to a Walmart in Kentucky to pray from people? Why did He take me all the way to Estonia?

He shakes us up.  He wrecks us for ordinary lifestyle AND we are never the same again.

You don't have to leave to "do ministry".  Walk out your front door.

Look up. Listen. Take advantage of today!
